OVERVIEW
Enhancing an existing platform through collaboration and user-centered design.
At Intern Guys, I was tasked with improving the user experience of an existing system rather than designing from scratch. Collaborating directly with the CEO, I identified critical pain points, balanced user needs with business goals, and worked within technological constraints to streamline key flows, such as the login/sign-up process and content uploads. This approach involved modernizing the interface while ensuring solutions aligned with the platform's vision and capabilities.
PROBLEM #1
There were significant drop-offs in the log-in & sign-up page.
The CEO stated that there was a significant drop-off rate when going from the home page to the log-in/sign-up page & an even more significant drop-off on the log-in/sign-up pages themselves. One of my very first tasks were to modernize & make the pages more inviting & professional. I decided to conduct A/B testing to allow the CEO choose which page he preferred.
SOLUTION
Out of the three screens, the CEO preferred the third screen, however he requested that I added an advertisement, a statistic, & a catch-phrase.
We’ve decided to add credentials from users of the platform (Tesla, Meta, Google), a catch-phrase (Ace your interviews! / Welcome to the Future of Interview Prep), & statistics to reinforce the effectiveness of the product. (1000+ offers received | 1800+ users).
The new screens have been developed & launched and have resulted in a 45% increase in user-sign ups!
PROBLEM #2
The payment process created friction, leading to user confusion and drop-offs.
The existing payment system relied on a third-party provider (Stripe), requiring users to leave the platform and sign up separately with the same email they used for Intern Guys. This step disrupted the user flow, caused confusion during payment, and resulted in frustration or incomplete purchases.

Stakeholders couldn’t upload and parse multiple candidates at once, slowing down their workflow.
The existing B2B system required stakeholders to upload resumes individually, which was inefficient and time-consuming. This limitation frustrated users managing large volumes of candidates and hindered their ability to streamline recruitment processes.

The lack of a dedicated pricing page made it challenging for recruiters to understand available plans and select options that met their needs. This created friction for users looking to purchase subscriptions, causing delays in decision-making.

I designed a comprehensive pricing page tailored for recruiters, featuring clear plan breakdowns, cost comparisons, and a subscription management option. The layout includes easy-to-read tiers, Pay-As-You-Go flexibility, and a custom solution contact point to address diverse needs. This page streamlined decision-making and improved user understanding of available offerings.

WHAT IS INTERN GUYS?
Intern Guys is a hybrid B2B/B2C hiring platform. While job seekers use AI-driven mock interviews and resume insights, companies can leverage Nora, the AI interviewer, to automate and accelerate their hiring and onboarding process.

I redesigned Intern Guys’ AI-powered hiring platform to enhance onboarding, optimize payments, and improve recruiter workflows boosting sign-ups by 45%.
PROBLEM #1
There were significant drop-offs in the log-in & sign-up page.
User data revealed a significant drop-off rate in the log-in/sign-up process, prompting design improvements to enhance conversion. To improve engagement, I designed three iterations, refining the UI for a more inviting and professional look.

By creating the payment process in-house, users would no longer have confusion when redirected to a new site to pay, but would stay on the Intern Guys platform. We looked to incentivize this step by adding a referral system.
